Jim Gallagher

Jim brings NYTHA an extensive background in and knowledge of horse racing as well as recognized expertise in regulatory matters. His over thirty years of experience include executive, policy-making, and operational positions with the Kentucky Horse Racing Authority, the New York Racing Association, the National Thoroughbred Racing Association, and the New York State Racing and Wagering Board.

His many significant accomplishments and contributions to the industry are in the areas of Regulatory Responsibilities/Oversight/Administration, Pari-Mutuel Operation/Management/Compliance, and Racing Integrity/Equine Drug Testing.

A resident of Brooklyn, Jim is a graduate of Adelphi University.
