William Terrill

Bill has been involved in horse racing since he was a child. His father, Red, trained horses for over fifty years and Bill worked on the backstretch at Belmont Park where he walked hots, worked as a groom, and was involved in all the facets of running the barn.  He was responsible for overseeing a second division of horses that raced at Rockingham Park and Atlantic City Race Course.  Bill had other business pursuits during his career: he is a retired stage hand who worked backstage on theatrical productions for over 37 years.

In 1976, Bill owned his first horse.  Since then he has owned many more and has been directly involved in all aspects of purchasing horses in private sales and auctions and racing them at tracks around the country.  In 1978, he purchased an existing horse transportation business, Ebert Vans, which he continues to manage today.

Bill lives in Franklin Square with his wife Bernadette. They have two daughters, Jennie and Amy, who are married and two sons Billy and Tommy.
